About Us
We don't just sell parts. We extend the life of the devices that already exist.
What Drives Us
There is a concrete reason why LC Phones exists, and that reason has not changed since 2015: we believe that what can still work is worth repairing.
In an industry used to replacing rather than recovering — where broken screens are sent to landfill in bulk and three-year-old phones are written off as obsolete — we decided to pull the thread the other way. We started with a small workshop in Luxembourg and one big idea: that with the right technical knowledge, the right tools and a fair amount of patience, almost anything can have a second life.
Ten years on, the workshop has grown into a network, the idea has given rise to a laboratory in Portugal, and the first counter conversations have turned into partnerships across Europe. But there are things we have made a point of not losing along the way. We still pick up the phone with the same voices. We still take apart every screen with the same rigour. We still see every recovered part as a small victory against waste.
The scale has grown. What drives us has not changed.
Who We Are
LC Phones is a European company specialising in components, tools and replacement parts for smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, computers and other electronic devices. We operate from two complementary hubs: the commercial headquarters in Luxembourg, where we serve end customers directly and manage relationships with professional partners across the European Union; and the industrial hub in Portugal, where we have our refurbishment laboratory and the e-commerce logistics centre.
We are distributors, repairers and producers at the same time. We sell new parts — Original, OEM and Compatible — from the leading brands on the market, but we also produce in-house our own ranges of refurbished parts, with screens recovered to their original functional and aesthetic state. This hybrid model, rare in the sector, allows us to keep prices competitive, lead times short, and a level of quality that is verified by us, part by part.
Our Story
A timeline of what we have been building since day one:
2014 — LC Phones is founded in Luxembourg. We started as an end-customer repair workshop, with a focus on honest diagnostics and fast turnaround.
2015 — Opening of the second physical store in Luxembourg. The volume of repairs forced us to organise a sales team dedicated to professionals who were asking for parts in bulk.
2016 — Launch of the structured B2B operation. We created the first catalogue aimed at resellers and independent workshops, with intra-Community pricing and our own logistics.
2017 — Opening of the third store in Luxembourg and the start of the refurbishment project in Portugal. We began taking apart damaged screens and restoring them under laboratory conditions.
2016 — Installation of the e-waste transformation laboratory in Couto do Mosteiro. We began producing in-house the Original Remade range, with a certified quality process and extended warranty.
2018 — Launch of the Second Life line — fully refurbished devices — and reinforcement of our commercial presence in Portugal, Spain, France and Germany.
2026 — Launch of the new lcphones.com: a unified platform for professionals and end customers, with smart checkout, account management and access to our entire catalogue in real time.
Mission, Vision and Values
Our Mission
To extend the useful life of the electronic devices that already exist, making repair more accessible, more reliable and more sustainable than replacement. To serve repair professionals with parts, tools and knowledge that allow them to do the best job possible, and to give end consumers back phones that work like new, for a fraction of the price and a fraction of the environmental impact.
Our Vision
To be, in Europe, the reference for circular economy in the mobile devices sector — the company that, when someone thinks of a trustworthy refurbished part, they think of first. To build a network of professional partners that see LC as a natural extension of their workshop: the supplier that responds, the technical bench that shares, the warehouse that is always 24 hours away.
Our Values
Trust
We say what we do and we do what we say. Every part has a clear category, every deadline has a reason, and every commitment is worth a guarantee.
Closeness
LC is not an anonymous portal. We answer the phone, we know our customers by name, and we treat every request with the attention we would give a neighbour.
Quality
There is no refurbishment without testing, no sale without verification. Our reputation is in every screen that leaves the laboratory.
Sustainability
Repairing is protecting. Every part that goes back to the market is a device that does not end up in landfill and a resource that is not extracted again.
Technical Competence
We invest in training, tools and knowledge. The LC team masters repair and board-level interventions.
Responsibility
We comply with the law, we pay our taxes where we operate, and we treat our employees, customers and suppliers fairly.
How We Work
LC Phones is not a black box. The way we have set up the operation is part of what we offer — and we like our partners to know exactly what is on the other side of the order.
The Laboratory in Portugal
At our industrial centre in Couto do Mosteiro, we receive end-of-life screens and components, separate what is recoverable, and put each part through a multi-stage refurbishment process: controlled disassembly, replacement of the glass and touch when necessary, laminated bonding, functional tests for colour, multi-touch and sensitivity, and aesthetic inspection under magnification. Only after this battery of tests does the part receive the Original Remade classification and ship to the warehouse.
This is also where the logistics centre that serves e-commerce operates. Orders confirmed by 17:30 leave the same business day, carried by our partnerships with UPS, Asfalto, VOAM and the operators of the autonomous regions.
The Stores in Luxembourg
In the Grand Duchy we have three physical stores aimed at end customers: counter repairs, free diagnostics, same-day screen and battery replacement, data recovery, and direct sale of 2ND Life devices. They are the point of contact with the people who live nearby, and also the mirror in which we test in practice what we then make available to our professional partners.
The Five Part Categories
We work with five clearly defined quality levels, so that each customer chooses the best balance between cost, performance and warranty period:
• Original — manufactured by the device brand, identical to the one fitted at the factory.
• Original (Take out) — original part removed directly from a used device, without a refurbishment process; functionally tested, it keeps all the original manufacturer components.
• Original Remade — original part collected and refurbished in our laboratory in Portugal, with functional and aesthetic tests before returning to the market.
• OEM — produced by the same manufacturer that produces for the brand, but sold outside the official channel; it keeps the original characteristics.
• Compatible — produced by third parties with equivalent fit and performance, at a more affordable cost.
Commercial Account Management
Every professional customer has a dedicated account manager assigned to them, who knows the partner's business, the typical order volume and the parts they use most. This direct contact replaces the queue of a call centre: if the part is not in stock, the manager looks for it; if the deadline is tight, the manager speeds it up; if there is a technical question, the manager passes it on to the bench. It is this closeness that sets LC apart from an anonymous marketplace.
Sustainability and Circular Economy
Sustainability, for LC Phones, is not a label stuck on the page. It is the business model.
Every screen we recover is a screen that was not manufactured from scratch, saving glass, copper, indium, rare earths, energy and water. Every Second Life device we put on the market is a phone that was not discarded prematurely. Every Original Remade part that leaves the laboratory replaces a new part produced on the other side of the world and shipped for weeks to Europe.
We accept end-of-life devices — from our customers, from our partners, from the general public — for responsible processing. What we manage to recover goes back to the market as a refurbished part; what is not recoverable goes to certified recycling streams, where the materials are separated, purified and reintroduced into industry.
We do not believe in promises of carbon neutrality based on symbolic offsets. We believe in concrete numbers: more refurbished screens per year, less virgin raw material entering the chain, less electronic waste at the end of the cycle. That is how we measure impact.
What Sets Us Apart
Our own production, not just distribution
Most players in the market simply import and resell. We manufacture — in our European laboratory — a significant share of what we sell. This gives us full control over quality, predictability in lead times, and the ability to respond to special orders that others simply cannot fulfil.
Dual presence: Luxembourg + Portugal
We operate from two complementary hubs: Luxembourg, from where we serve Europe commercially, and Portugal, where we concentrate the industrial centre and the technical know-how. This dual presence allows us to respond in several languages, keep lead times short across much of the continent, and combine the best of both countries — logistical proximity on one side, technical excellence on the other.
Same-day shipping
In Mainland Portugal, orders confirmed by 17:30 leave the same day. In the rest of Europe, 24 to 48 hours is standard. For urgent repairs, a phone call is never out of place — in many cases, we can speed things up even further.
Solid warranty and a clear process
A minimum six-month warranty on every product, with clear conditions and an activation process that does not require filling in five forms. In the event of a fault, we resolve it — by replacement, account credit or refund.
Shared technical knowledge
Our technical team is available to help identify the right part, diagnose complex faults, and provide ad-hoc training for partners that want to grow into level-2 repairs (micro-soldering, BGA, board-level diagnostics). We do not keep the knowledge to ourselves.
The Team
Behind every screen that reaches your customer there are many people making the machine work. LC Phones brings together repair technicians with more than a decade at the bench, process engineers who design and optimise the refurbishment lines, sales people who know our partners' businesses by heart, warehouse and logistics operators who make sure the order leaves on time, and a customer support team that picks up the phone and replies to e-mails with real people.
We invest in continuous training — because the sector changes every day — and we are committed to hiring people who like what they do. We would rather grow slowly with the right team than fast with the wrong one.
